About mySRD

mySRD is a small, free tool for checking your SASSA SRD R370 grant status without the queues or the spinning loader on the official site.

We built mySRD because checking an SRD status was harder than it should be. The official portal is slow at month-end. The USSD line drops calls. Branches are full. So we made a single page that takes your ID and the cellphone number you registered with SASSA, and gives you a straight answer.

That is the entire product. No sign-up. No app to install. No upsell. You type two things, you tap a button, you see your status.

What we show you

For each application we can find on the SRD database, mySRD displays the current overall status, your application ID, and a list of monthly outcomes: whether each month was approved, declined or paid out, the payday once one is scheduled, and the decline reason where SASSA has provided one. That is everything SASSA exposes for the public lookup.

What we don't do

We do not store your ID number or your cellphone number. The values you type go straight to the lookup and the result comes straight back. Nothing is logged against you on our side.

We are also not SASSA. We are not part of the South African government and we have no influence over who gets approved, when payouts happen, or why an application is declined. If something on your SASSA record is wrong, that has to be sorted out with SASSA directly. We cannot change it for you.
